Is it easy to get to Base Magnetic Island?
Yes, it's really easy!
Passenger ferry: The ferry leaves from Townsville 12 to 19 times a day. This trip costs $32 return. When you get to the island, jump on the Magnetic Island bus and tell the driver you want express to our Base Magnetic Island accommodation - we are only 2 minutes away.
Car ferry: The car ferry is only a 2 minute drive from Townsville town centre. When you arrive at Nelly Bay Harbour turn left, past the supermarket. When you are driving along the road next to the beach, you will see the resort at the end of the stretch. You will recognise it as our nearest neighbour is 1.2km away.
Do you have a campground?
Yes - Just choose your spot to set up for the night. Base Camp looks directly over the spectacular Cape Cleveland and is the best spot for a early riser. Camp sites are Tent ONLY, and all are un-powered sites.

There's free wifi available at the travel desk. Premium wifi is available at $4 for 24 hours or $12 for a week
Will I see mermaids?
Yes. After 5 super jugs, you will see a heap of things!
Can Under 18's Stay?
Unfortunately we can't allow under 18's due to the licensed bar onsite.
