Powder, Parties & Paddles: Australia's Ski Season is here! 03:21 PM on Mon 23 Jun 2014

Powder;  slang for fresh snow. Commonly used within the snow junkie community

Parties; also common within the snow junkie community

Paddles; a tool utilised by Oz Snow Adventures to heighten the above experiences. A Paddle is a board cleverly designed to hold a large number of shots... effective, easy to carry and a great time saver!

This weekend I was lucky enough to head down to Thredbo & Perisher with Oz Snow Adventures. Ok so Australia is not exactly the most ‘talked about’ ski destination in the world... but did you know that we receive more snow here than the Swiss Alps? Either way – the goods are here! Here's the dealio...

Who is Oz Snow?

Oz Snow offer all inclusive ski and snowboarding packages to Thredbo & Perisher Ski Resorts... located around 6 hours south of Sydney.  If you are heading up or down the East Coast & keen for a powder fix, there are Weekend and Mid Week packages available that depart from Sydney. Self Drive options are also available.

Oz Snow are a group of amazing peeps that know their shit. They basically exist on this earth to ensure that you make the most of your snowy getaway. You will have a dedicated Trip Guide for the entire journey and everything is organised for you! Accommodation? Sorted! Lessons? Gear Hire?  Transport? Done.

2 or 3 day packages (as well as longer trips) are on offer and include return transport to and from Sydney Central Station. The buses depart from Sydney at 6:00PM. If you don’t mind a drink or two (or more) jump on the party bus – definitely makes the 6 hour journey more bearable and a great way to meet new people!

The packages include return transport to and from Sydney to Jindabyne, Accommodation, Lift Passes, National Park Fees, a number of Meals, Mountain Transfers & you can choose to add on Gear Hire & Lessons.

Accommodation is flexible with private room upgrades available. Keen to sleep by the slopes?  You also have the option to upgrade to accommodation at the River Inn Resort – the only Ski In, Ski Out accommodation in Thredbo.

The fun does not end at the slopes. Once you've had enough of falling on your bum or just all round killing it... the Oz Snow team provide entertainment for the group... live music, a party back at your accommodation and Paddle goodness... happy days!

You can choose between two ski resorts, Thredbo & Perisher – both located within a short drive from your accommodation in Jindabyne.
